Grokker

Grokker is software developed by aliens to give earthlings enlightenment — not really — but it was ahead of its time and it was inspired by Robert A. Heinlein’s sci-fi novel Stranger in a Strange Land.

Grokker was a web-based enterprise search management platform that accesses information from disparate data stores with one search. It then auto-categorizes the information into an interactive visual format that allows users to explore thousands of results in minutes. It lets them Grok (fully understand) their (re)search topic.

Grokker’s key hook is in its visual display of search information. I wanted to convey the “coolness” and organic feel of the product’s display in the corporate identity and branding.
